Her stilettos click-clacked on the pavement.
Two blocks. It seems like two miles.  Kris Devlin walked the entire distance to where she’d parked her car without once hurrying or looking over her shoulder. She had an aerosol container of pepper spray on her keychain, just in case. She kept her shoulders square and her chin up, forcing herself to maintain a steady stride in spite of the wobble in her ankles.

Set Up: 
Nick, the cop,  has come to the dominatrix, Kris' condo to inform her that one of her clients has been murdered. She is a very private person and feels threatened that he has tracked her down and invaded her space. However, he has challenged her to come to his place to watch movies and eat pizza like regular people.

Excerpt:
Kris followed behind Nick, anxious for him to be gone. “Just get out!”

Nick turned and cupped her chin in his hand. “You don’t have to wear spandex and you don’t have to bring your bag of tricks. I’ll take you just the way you are.”

He lowered his head slowly and kissed her like he was taking a bite out of her, capturing her mouth with his. His tongue invaded, stroking hers and eliciting a spontaneous reaction. He kissed her hard and deep before he turned and slammed the door behind himself.

Set Up
While investigating the murders of some of her clients, Nick has lost his heart to the damaged dominatrix. In rebellion, she enters into a relationship with a long-time friend. This is where she tells Nick she is with Felix.


Six Sentences
A tiny muscle near his eye twitched, but he maintained a steady gaze. The effect was like being burned with a green fire. He took in a deep breath. “I think you belong with me. I can’t help it if you haven’t realized it yet.”

His expression caused a tightness in her chest.

SET UP:
Her clients are being murdered and Kris, the dominatrix thinks someone is watching her. Nick, the cop, has admitted to surveilling her in the past so she calls to find out if it's him.

EXCERPT:He heard her sigh. “No, you don’t need to do that, but  I was hoping it was you.”

He chuckled. “You want me to follow you? No problem because I can be on you like Velcro.”

She laughed, deep in her throat, soft and sexy. This woman could give him wood over the phone.

SET UP:
Bad Girl! is a mystery/suspense. When her clients start dying a beautiful dominatrix is forced to rely on a controlling cop. In this excerpt, Nick, the hero, is visited by the dominatrix. She has no idea he is a cop. 

EXCERPT:
He’d never been hit by a woman before. He wasn't the kind of man to allow himself to be hit. He wasn’t the kind of man not to rise up and hit another man back. He wasn’t the kind of man not to keep hitting until he was the last man left standing upright...and yet, he allowed this sexy little tease to hit him, not once but five times.

“Now, what do you say?” She leaned close again, her expression betraying no hint of emotion.

He swallowed hard and said, “Thank you, Mistress.”
